While in Costa Rica, we are attending the Spanish Language Institute (ILE) to learn Spanish through academics and cultural immersion. We are also partnering with local missionaries and churches to serve in a variety of ministry contexts: discipleship programs, immigrant communities, the impoverished, outreaches, home visits, and more! We serve in a city named La Carpio with a youth discipleship program. We started off by simply building relationships with the community, holding services on Saturdays and spending time with them outside of La Carpio by sharing meals, playing soccer, hosting bible studies, and teaching English. We also have had several come to know the Lord throughout our time here and we are praying God continues to soften and change the hearts of this people to come to know Him!
